Predators On The Fly

Predators On The Fly  - Formally Reel North Flies

My name is Nome and I've been a fly fishing guide & educator since 2009, I've guided for Trout in the Northeast and Steelhead, Salmon, Trout, Pike & Musky in the Midwest.  I'm a contributing Editor for Dun Magazine  , Pro Tier for J. Stockard  and pro staff for TFO Rods, 12wt, NorVice and  Semperfli.

As a past musky guide, many of my clients were new to the toothy critter game so I designed flies that were easy to cast and would shed most of their water weight on the first back cast keeping my clients in the zone all day long.  I also did extensive surveys of the local forage fish to get an average "sweet spot" size of bait and found most toothy predators respond to a 6-7" fly majority of the time.  Larger flies definitely have their place, but the "sweet spot" is an everyday size fly that you can switch it up with to give your casting arm a rest while still covering water.

If you are looking to get into the predator game and don't want to cast a wool sock, ya don't have to! My "Quick Shedding" flies will put you in the zone without torturing yourself!

All  flies are proven and have consistently caught fish for both myself and my clients.

I am available for Predators on the Fly speaking engagements, please feel free to contact.  I have spoken to many TU groups and have a zoom presentation.
